They also discuss the opening of the new facility and how it will help the expansion of the program. Firefighters are in high demand. This face-to-face hands-on program prepares and trains cadets for the hiring standards established by fire departments. The San Antonio College Regional Fire Academy is a quality fire training facility providing the most realistic live fire training possible.Chief Poyner also shares tips on how to stay safe when cooking this Labor Day.Propane and charcoal BBQ grills should only be used outdoors. The grill should be placed well away from the home, deck railings and out from under eaves and overhanging branches.Never leave your grill unattended. When you are finished grilling, let the coals completely cool before disposing in a metal container.Chief Poyner can be reached by phone at 210-486-0097 or by email at fpoyner@alamo.eduMore information on the SAC Fire Academy and the Fire Sciences program is online here: https://www.alamo.edu/sac/acad....emics/program-index/
