Dresden receives Shiro's sword cane and a letter from the old Knight. Harry takes on responsibility for retrieving the Shroud and finds Marcone using it to try to heal a young woman. Harry allows Marcone three days to try, in which Marcone willingly gives the Shroud back afterwards. Nicodemus tries one last time to trick Harry into taking up a coin but Harry seals it in his basement.
