#110 Everyone is redeemable with Travis Washington
Oh I first met Travis at the SOC studios check that when I was interviewed by making a rock for the war local kind of an NPR Cannava public radio station here in Burlington he’s the lead person in charge of internship so he engages a lot with local schools to find talent to help support the production of the different kinds of shows in podcasts and media that they produce. Tyler messaged me on Saturday morning and we met at the Franklins. We didn’t know each other and I really wanted to keep it real and quite raw so it worked in our benefit that we hadn't got to chat very long before. Travis is a 24-year-old fresh graduate he’s got a job he’s leading in mentoring young people in the industry trying to get in and going to school he’s politically active he’s in charge of the pull of the political channel for the city so he’s got progressive ideas he’s living in Burlington. He’s a person of mixed race who comes from a strong family unit and he's very articulate and describes his ideas with conviction. There’s a lot to love about this generation and I’ve been greatly inspired by people his age I’ve interviewed and even across the spectrum of ideas, ideals, values, and political views. Passionate, intelligent and articulate, and it gives me great hope for the future of the country tune in to hear a young person articulate their passion for the future.
