135: What's Wrong With Me?
“I’ll never get over this.”“I should never have said that. I can never say the right thing.” “What’s wrong with me?” Have you ever had thoughts like that? Have you ever felt that there is something inherently wrong with you, and although you’ve tried to change, you just can’t do it? In today’s episode, Marquelle leads coaches Karen, Kellie, and Roslyn in a discussion about 'Transforming Shame.' Shame is one of the adversary’s most commonly-used tools - and one of his most powerful ones. Who hasn’t felt shame about something they’ve done, or said, or thought? And who hasn’t felt unworthy because of it?In contrast, Marquelle brings out the fact that mistakes and mis-steps are part of our mortal journey, and that God knew we would be weak. Because of that, He provided a plan to help us along this journey, and He provided a Savior to cover those weaknesses as we turn to Him. Learn some of the tools that we teach in the Eternal Warriors course that can help you recognize when you are being shamed, and will help you know exactly what to do to transform it.
Listen in and see how these coaches, in their own personal lives, have been able to transform shame and see each mistake as a learning experience. Hear how they coach others to release the shame, and to claim the hope, the eternal perspective, and the power that the Gospel and the Atonement of Christ can bring to one's heart. “What’s wrong with me?” Not one thing.
You’re on a mortal journey - and with Christ, you can find growth, and hope, and peace, each step of the way. It could be you! Come check us out, and see if this is the time for you to enlist. Come join those who are finding the great power that comes from using your agency to choose action, commitment, and increased faith!
