Delilah Holliday, North London’s homegrown DIY icon, makes downtempo electronic art pop with added layers of trip hop, with an intoxicating medley of heady synth. Sonically she’s transportive, but in her lyrics Delilah keeps things grounded. She revels in otherworldly sounds and visuals that play with the abstract, the psychedelic and the conceptual, but the lived experiences she mines for creativity remain at the core of what she does. This episode I chat with Delilah Holliday about the release of her most recent EP "Invaluable Vol.1". We discussed the conversation provoking themes of structural inequality and the cost of living crisis that are explored throughout the EP. Delilah Holliday shared the concept behind her anti-capitalist anthem “Burn Money” as well as her feelings towards being able to stand your ground surrounding your creative process as a woman in the industry.
