26. Missy Bevers
Everyone loved Missy. She was a beacon of light to so many in her life and her community, especially through her fitness classes she held every week. Despite the rain, at 5 AM on Monday April 18th, 2016, her students were ready to be coached and enlightened by Missy at their fitness session with her. Their morning would turn out to be drastically different and more horrifying than they were expecting, though, because as soon as they entered the church where Missy held her classes, they found her dead - obviously murdered by someone who had already left the scene. The scene was sinister. Missy was lying motionless in a pool of blood, surrounded by glass and an item or items that may have been the murder weapon. Missy’s story, however, gets much darker, and very quickly. Police release surveillance video of an intruder that had entered the church early that morning before Missy arrived, and their presence was ominous. In full tactical gear, the person walks around the building breaking windows and attempting to unlock doors - and they are hauntingly calm. Who was this person? Was she simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or is the truth more complicated?
