During his MBA internship, he realized that a consulting role did not align with his values and passions. Inspired by his love for selling, building teams, and having control over his own destiny, Irvin recognized that being a CEO would encompass all these aspects. However, he discovered that traditional routes to becoming a CEO would take too long or require exceptional brilliance. During this time, a classmate introduced him to the concept of a search fund, which seemed like the perfect opportunity to expedite his journey to CEO.
