83. Our Precious Bodies
In this episode we do a personal check in with each other about our past week, which included health scares for both us. In this episode we talk about: -How the body is deeply intelligent and a beautiful mirror to us and when we have symptoms, it is typically a sign that something is out of balance. -Kate shares her story about her week of medical tests looking at her heart function and what that meant for her. -Betsy shares her ongoing struggles with autoimmune issues and inflammation in her body and the challenge of not knowing what’s actually going on. We share a quote from Clarrissa Pinkola Estes in the book “Women Who Run With the Wolves”, “ Like a Rosetta Stone, for those who know how to read it, the body is a living record of life given, life taken, life hoped for, life healed it is valued for its articulate ability to register immediate reaction, to feel profoundly, to sense ahead. The body is a multilingual being. The body remembers, the bones remember, the joints remember, even the little finger remembers.” If you like this episode here are others that may be of interest: Episode 24: Returning to the Body https://www.tendherwild.com/20....22/07/22/returning-t Episode 17: Perspectives on Pain and Healing https://www.tendherwild.com/20....22/06/03/perspective Episode 5: Over-giving and Burnout https://www.tendherwild.com/20....22/03/03/overgiving- Today’s episode sponsored by: Kate Moreland coaching Heartland Yoga Dr Yoga Momma Work with Betsy & Kate In Person: Tend Her 3.0: A 4-week Online Course on Resilience.
