A Journey to the Inn
I'm reading a book about the life of Michelangelo, the Italian sculpture, entitled, The Agony and the Ecstasy. It is fascinating. But interestingly, several different times in his life, a plague went through the land. One sounded similar to the COVID pandemic that we experienced. Though he lost important people in his life, he continued forward, never leaving the path which was his dedication to his art, his purpose. I wonder how people responded to the plagues in those days. Did they emerge differently in some way? We can look at the Spanish Flu pandemic from 1918 and wonder the same thing. How I wish I had known what I know so I could have asked my dad what he remembers of the people in his life who lived through it. But if we did know, how would that affect our own journey? The human condition...we just journey on. Thanks for listening!<br/>
