A Savior Is Born

Luke introduces the life of Jesus with information that is unique to his Gospel alone. This material reveals the expectation of Israel's Messiah and how this expectation led to serious misunderstanding in religious community at Jerusalem. Jesus' coming indicated that God was visiting His true people -illustrated by the poor and outcast- in order to redeem them. The high King of Heaven was born in the lowliest estate, but He was destined to rule the world as testified to in Zechariah's prophecy -Luke 1-67-79- Isaiah 9-6-. After 400 years of the silence of heaven, God was speaking again.
