Like many of students fresh out of university, Alan Mahon wasn’t quite sure what to do after graduating, so he packed a bag and went travelling. But his adventures were cut short in Nepal, when he contracted a parasite from drinking contaminated water.

After recovering back home, Alan decided to dedicate his career to fighting poverty. While working other jobs, Alan met his co-founder James and a friendship was formed over a shared passion for great beer, and doing good in the world. And so Brewgooder, the beer brand on a mission to make a difference, was born.

On this episode of Sound Advice: Entrepreneurs Unfiltered, Alan talks turning adversity into opportunity, growing as a young founder, and engaging with the next generation of beer lovers.
