Atonement through the blood of Yeshua
Atonement is all God's grace and mercy. Our "works" of fasting, confession, and repentance cannot earn our salvation. We discuss Yom Kippur, the holy day of atonement, versus the once and for all atonement through the blood of Yeshua Ha Meshiach. Yeshua's single sacrifice for sins has "perfected for all time those being sanctified" and is God's plan for our redemption and salvation. By faith in the blood of Yeshua, our consciences are cleansed and our separation from God is repaired. We are restored and brought "near" and into communion with God through the Holy Spirit. Under the New Covenant, God's law and morality are internalized into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. We need the conviction of the Holy Spirit in our conscience that leads us to walk in the obedience of faith. And we need God's grace and mercy through the blood of Yeshua to restore us when we inevitably fail and sin, in order to continue to walk the path of sanctification.
