Author Interview with Steve Bellinger
Steve was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago by a single mom who worked for a printing company. She often brought books and magazines home for him and his siblings to read. One day she brought home a novel by Isaac Asimov, I. Robot. At the age of 12, Steve fell in love with science fiction and writing. Since then he has written newspaper articles, radio drama, short stories, Sunday School lessons, training manuals, fan fiction, and four novels (so far). He lives in Chicago with his wife Dr. Donna, who is his biggest fan.Timestamps00:15 Introduction
1:00 What are your books about?
2:18 What inspired you to write your book?
3:25 Who are your books for?
4:05 How long have you been writing and what made you really sit down and write?
5:05 What is your schedule like when you are writing your book?
5:45 Is there anything you need in your writing space to help you stay focused?
6:10 Do you have a favorite writing snack or drink?
7:11 Are there any books or authors that inspired you to become an author?
8:08 What books did you grow up reading and did you have an all time favorite?
8:55 Now as an adult are there any books or authors that are your favorite?
10:22 What sort of advice would you give someone just starting to read again?
11:17 Do you have any advice for someone just looking to start writing their own book?
13:02 Any Additional comments?
13:28 Where is the best place for our audience to connect with you?Connect with Steve Bellinger
WebsiteBooks
“The Chronocar”
“Edge of Perception”
“E-Pocalpyse”
“Time Waits For No One”
“Chicago History in Fiction and Non Fiction”Links
Support the PodcastFollow usRipollsworkshop Reads Website
Ripollsworkshop Reads Instagram
Our Host Courtney Ripoll-McBride
Music Created/Episode Mastered By: Patrick McBride
