Blitz Boys: ACC Preview

Welcome to the month of August! The month where college football returns after a long 7 month hiatus. We keep our season previews of every conference rolling with the ACC this week, bur before we get to that there was bombshell news released on Tuesday night from the state of Iowa. Multiple athletes from Iowa and Iowa state are accused of illegally sports betting and even betting on school related events. Hunter Dekkers, Dodge Sauser, and Eyloma Uwazarike are current or former players at Iowa state, they are all accused of betting while under age and in violation of the NCAA rule against gambling, on different sports but also Iowa State athletics and football games. We will keep you updated as more information comes out! Back to the ACC though, the conference is trying to stay afloat as the “Magnificent Seven” threaten to break-up the conference, we discuss if the ACC can survive or even keep the schools from leaving. We also talk about potential schools the ACC can bring in for either expansion or to replace some schools leaving. Next up we talk about Clemson’s new Offensive Coordinator Garrett Riley and if he can put the Tigers back on track for a CFP run. There are two favorites to take the ACC this year and a cluster of picks for the third team in the ACC, Slade and George make their picks for who they think that team is before giving you their picks for the conference champion, most improved team, and most disappointing/ regressed team in 2023.
