Breaking News: After a Delhi court took cognizance of a chargesheet submitted against him in a case relating to the alleged Pul Bangash murders during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Congress leader Jagdish Tytler was called on August 5. According to the court, there is sufficient evidence to bring charges against him in the case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has claimed that Tytler "incited, instigated, and provoked the mob" in the chargesheet that was submitted to Rouse Avenue Court on May 20. On November 1, 1984, a day after the then-prime minister Indira Gandhi was slain by her Sikh bodyguards, three people were killed and a gurdwara was set on fire in the Pul Bangash area.
