Can The Washington Nationals Afford To Sign Trea Turner?
As the hot stove season is heating up QUICK, there is a familiar face who is a free agent, and Ryan wants him back with the Washington Nationals. That free agent is superstar shortstop, Trea Turner. The 29-year old is still one of the games brightest, and youngest stars in the game and can seamlessly do it ALL. He is someone we can rely on day in and day out to hold down the shortstop position for a LONG time. But first, Ryan explains why Turner was the one that got away over Juan Soto, Anthony Rendon, Max Scherzer, & Bryce Harper. He is someone who isn't a Scott Boras client, and we had an amplitude of opportunities to extend Trea Turner as a Washington Nationals. Then, with new ownership coming to town any week, or month, they will want to be aggressive in spending cash and giving the fans something to cheer for, and buy jerseys for. A question is raised since we have CJ Abrams already as the future shortstop for the team; what would we do with the young 22-year old shortstop Abrams if we signed Turner? Well, there's PLENTY of options for him. We get to all of that here.
