Co-Heirs of Life

In this passage, Peter directs us to the covenant of marriage. God's design and purpose for marriage is something that the world finds offensive. However, the Lord is the one who designed and created marriage. Because God created marriage, we must submit to his design. Peter tells us the way we must submit to his design is that wives must subject themselves to their husbands, husbands must honor their wives, and the couple must image Christ. The calling is difficult, but the grace of Christ for believers provides us with all the hope we need to have God honoring marriages.
