Come for a walk around a natural woodland burial site: The Eternal Forest in North Wales
#078. Have you heard of a natural woodland burial? Or considered what it is and how it works? You're going to find this episode fascinating.

This is The Silent Why, a podcast on a mission to open up conversations around loss and grief and see if hope can be found in 101 different types of loss.

On our recent trip to North Wales we didn't just do some work experience with some funeral directors, we also visited The Eternal Forest - a natural woodland burial site in Boduan, Pwllheli (and yes, I also had no idea how to pronounce a word that starts with 'pwl'!).

There we met Julia Everett, the manager, and recorded a conversation with her as we walked around the most beautiful woodland.

The Eternal Forest is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit and if we lived nearby we'd have been tempted to book a burial plot straight away!

Have a listen and let us know how your views on burial are challenged or changed.

You can follow along with the transcript in a blog post on our website, where we've included images and video of our time there to help you visualise it: https://www.thesilentwhy.com/post/theeternalforest

For more about The Eternal Forest visit: https://www.eternalforest.org/

And to listen to our previous episode about our time in Wales - 'Wales, work experience, bitey flies, chips and Dave' visit: https://www.thesilentwhy.com/podcast/episode/78783914/wales-work-experience-bitey-flies-chips-and-dave

Support the show-----

Support the show through: buymeacoffee.com/thesilentwhy

Review the show: Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Goodpods

More about the hosts, our childless journey, photos of guests, blog, and official 101 losses list: thesilentwhy.com

What's a Herman? - thesilentwhy.com/herman

Tips on how to help and talk to griefy people: thesilentwhy.com/post/howtotalktothegrieving

Episode transcripts and support the show: thesilentwhy.buzzsprout.com

Thank you for listening.
