Commanders defeat Broncos Day After Reckoning
The Denver Broncos jumped out to an early 21-3 lead on Washington about 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter. Denver was dominating both sides of the ball. However, Commanders LB Jamin Davis stripped Russell Wilson that Cody Barton recovered and began a 32-3 run by Washington for a 35-24 lead. Denver was not done. They scored a FG and touchdown on their last 2 posessions, the later being a Hail Mary as time expired. However, Commanders cornerback Benjamin St. Juste knocked away a potential 2 point conversion pass from Russell Wilson to preserve the victory.
