Corrin Hansen: How Do I End My Toxic Relationship?
TW: sexual assault This week I sat down with my very old friend Corrin Hansen, MA in psychology specializing in domestic abuse relationships. Corrin’s goal was to figure out how we end up in these toxic situations and what we can do to successfully leave. Corrin’s passion for the psychology behind domestic abuse and toxic relationships comes from lived experience that she openly shares on the episode. Together, we bring awareness on how to strengthen our own self perception by overcoming our need to fit in and identify attachment styles with you may have with your partner and how to manage it properly. We discuss the pressure of looking good enough physically, how to stop sacrificing self care for your toxic partner, letting go of your ego, and of course what it takes to cut ties for good without feeling like your heart is being ripped out of your chest.
