June 11, 2023 By Gary Girard, DelanoNow columnist Numerous awards were given out at the 30th annual Awards Night of the Soroptimist Club of Delano. Gold sponsors for the evening were Wonderful College Prep Academy, Supervisor David Couch, South Tulare Richgrove Refuse, Inc., and North Kern South Tulare Hospital District. Kern County Library Delano branch won the Library Award. Bakersfield College Foundation of Delano was recipient of the College Book Award. McFarland High School received the Dorothy E. Hefner Award.
