The chapter ends by highlighting the significance of following God’s Law for a blessed life. In Deuteronomy 33, Moses blesses the twelve tribes of Israel before his death. Simeon is notably omitted from these blessings, possibly due to the tribe’s previous actions and reputation. Moses, aware of his impending death, uses this moment to encourage and bless the people he has led for forty years. Finally, in Deuteronomy 34, God allows Moses a view of the Promised Land from Mount Nebo before his passing. This symbolizes the culmination of his life’s journey and the passing of leadership to Joshua, signifying the continuation of God’s plan for Israel.
