Did you just say you’re a sheep door? (Episode 112)

You’ve probably read John 10 before, but have you ever really noticed what Jesus said? We all know that Jesus is the good shepherd, that’s simple enough. But when Jesus explains the parable, he doesn’t start there, instead he says, “I am the sheep door.” What an odd choice! Whenever something doesn’t follow logically in the words of Jesus, I always stop and ask why he said that. So what did Jesus mean when he said he’s the sheep door? What does that mean for our ministry and our writing?
