In today’s episode, I chat with Daniel Dooreck from Danny’s Mudshop, a potter currently living in sunny LA. If you’re into pottery and ceramics, you’ve probably seen Danny’s work on social media - his hand thrown creations are carved with pictures of cowboy boots, snakes and other desert inspired images. In our chat, we talked about Danny’s journey from working in the wine and food industry to discovery pottery and going full time with his mud shop. We talked about his creative process, why it’s hard to scale and how terrifiying shipping his work can be. I asked him what the most rewarding parts of running his business are and if it’s hard for him to find a good balance between working hard and taking time off. I hope you enjoy our chat and find yourself wanting to move to LA and become a potter too! (I know I did). You can follow him on social media https://www.instagram.com/dannydsmudshop/ and buy his ceramics on https://www.dannydsmudshop.com/To learn more about Mimi visit https://mimiforcreatives.com/ and join us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mimi.for.creatives/We have cool workshops and masterclasses coming up so check them out too!You can also follow me, Mel, on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/melanie.johnsson/ or see more of my work on my website https://www.melaniejohnsson.com/Thanks for listening!Edit by Melanie JohnssonMusic by The Big Let Down - Sojourney
