EP 20- Sharing Our Stories -Aubrey Lavizzo
Our guest is Aubrey Lavizzo from Denver,CO. Aubrey Lavizzo is 20+ years in his recovery.Going to school in Louisiana where his grandparents lived Aubrey thought he was going to be a famous musician. His band broke up so he moved back to Colorado and started teaching where he found himself in more trouble so he headed out to Atlanta to try and get clean. He bought himself a house and a car and was clean for 6 months until he relapsed and lost everything again in the blink of an eye. Him and his friend at the time robbed a gas station and he spent the next 18 months in jail. After that he was sent to a halfway house in California. He was doing good had a sponsor and was going to class but he wasnt being honest in his program and relapsed.Robbing and stealing again in del ray beach Aubrey came to a hault looking at the ocean talking to god for help.<br /><br />Aubrey finally getting help from his fsmily his journey started November 24th 2002 where he finally got clean, meeting his first friend MJ who started to put Aubrey through certain assignments to help him get better and be his best self. Aubrey has been helping others ever since in programs, classes, and so much more.<br /><br />Aubrey shares his story of addiction and recovery, and his hope for men and women struggling in their own addictions.
