Ep 30. How To Enjoy Socializing Without Being Extroverted

0 Views· 08/13/23

Is it possible to enjoy socializing, meaning: making small talk, meeting new people, and networking, as an introvert?Yes!
You mean I don’t have to be extroverted? No!
Key Insights:Learn to do it your way, by honouring your values, energy and personality. When you start from the premise that there is nothing wrong with you and that you are simply wired differently, it becomes easier to do those things without depleting yourself or pretending to be someone you’re not.Be more of yourself, not less. There are two parts to this process. The first part is the one we are familiar with, the “Doing”: working from the outside on the how-to i.e. learning the skills of conversation, getting good at what to say, how to say it, when to say it.The other part is the inner work, the “Being”: creating the identity we want to show up with in this season of life. Who am I? Who do I want to be? Who do I want to serve? What do I care most about? This is a lifelong journey that requires a good honest look at ourselves to develop clarity, so we can start to express ourselves from a place of authenticity.

Here’s how I can support you further:Meet fellow introverts in Melbourne: Quiet Women Circle (women-only) and Introverts Around the WorldSchedule a virtual coffee on LinkedInFind fellow introverts on facebook: Global Introvert Network Follow my introvert journey on instagram: @serenalow_quietwarriorcoach This episode was edited by Aura House Productions
