Ep33: Marko Criticises Beer, Ox Reveals a Veeeery Personal 'Hobby'
Podcast today is not in a pub, but is in the brand spankers new offices of Ox and Marko, the office is looking good - but they’ve identified a problem with the beer in the fridge. Someone has ordered zero alcohol beer, and Marko refuses to drink it. May be a sackable offence.
The boy are excited because they’ve got the first copies of Ox and Markos ‘Dad Jokes book, which is a ripping read, and every single dollar of the proceeds goes to Bowel Cancer. It’s a subject close to Marko in particular given his history, and he talks us through the symptoms. You can order your copy here.
Ox tells us about his upcoming trip to a health retreat in Bali, and reveals something that he has booked in to do 6 times on 6 consecutive days. You may be shocked. But he is determined to come back a few kegs lighter and looking good.
Marko lowers the cone of silence to make an embarrassing admission about his daughter’s driving test, which he assisted with, and it did not end well.
Ox reveals his first car, which was an absolute classic - one of the great cars!
But then the pod goes pear-shaped. Marko is fed up with Ox promising Wayne Carey but never delivering, Ox reveals that he is also arranging Tom Lynch - we'll believe it when we see it.. Ox counters with cracking Marko over not delivering Ricky Ponting. Honestly they’ve both been very average.
Ox has discovered a Life Hack and Marko loves it. And don’t forget we want to hear your Life Hacks, something to make the world just a bit easier for us all.
Marko has a question for Ox about Tinder. Surprisingly Ox knows the answer. Terrifying all round.
Lots of feedback as usual, and heaps of comments on the dog taking a dump on Markos front lawn. Not only horror at what the dog had done, but lots of people shocked at Marko’s son’s Crocs. However, Ox is a defender of Crocs and reckons they have a place, in fact he calls them one of the most comfortable footwear, he’s a big fan. Marko is prepared to accept Crocs at the beach, but nowhere else.
Conversation moves to one of the great footwear items of all time - the legendary KT26. Love all round from the team.
Ox put a poll up on whether Wollongong or Adelaide is a better city. The result are in and Producer Dan is convinced there has been a technical problem with the results, Ox is also shocked at the result. Ox chats about meeting Alexander the Great in The Gong, he loved it.
Joke this week is a ripper, unusually, from The Ox. He mixes Wayne Carey and a bum joke in the same gag!
