The proposed changes are aimed at creating quieter and safer streets for residents.

The scheme is set to be considered for approval at a Devon County Council's Exeter’s Highways Committee (HATOC) meeting scheduled for June 20. If approved, the trial road closures would be implemented for a period of up to 18 months starting in August. The estimated cost of the trial scheme is up to £190,000, which would be funded from the Capability and Ambition Fund secured from Active Travel England.

The main concerns raised by residents appear to revolve around the perceived lack of consultation and communication about the potential changes, as well as the potential disruption to travel and daily routines that the trial road closures could bring. It's likely that the local authorities will need to address these concerns and provide more information to the residents before moving forward with the proposed trial scheme.

I was also lucky enough to meet @anneofexeter for a chat as well while she was filming for ITV Westcountry.

As it happens they were already on course to carry out the work anyway and is now in place.
Everyone I spoke to were very un-happy about this.

This is a common theme across the country with Rishi Sunaks, Low Traffic Neighbourhood Scheme.

Thank you for your support in watching the exeter-rider channel
If you would like to support the channel then you can "Buy Me A Coffee" which would mean a lot to me via this link here https://www.buymeacoffee.com/exeterSupport the showTalking Motorcycles & Anything Else That Comes Along
