Felix Buxton, one half of Basement Jaxx is one of the music industry’s most prolific and highly regarded artists, and joins Lex Luca for the inaugural episode of OpenDAW Talks.
This conversation dives deep into Felix' experiences and influences of music. From humble beginnings growing up in the 80s weaving from jazz dance to acid house and his first DJ set to putting on the renowned parties in Brixton, how Basement Jaxx formed to getting signed to XL and making of their debut album Remedy and beyond. We also discuss a wealth of creative strategies and tips & tricks for music makers.
The Brit, GRAMMY and Billboard Award-winning duo, Basement Jaxx, formed in 1994, and with an enviable discography, including ‘Where's Your Head At’, ‘Romeo’ and ‘Red Alert’,  they have worked with Paloma Faith, Kelis and Yoko Ono while remixing pioneering records for Missy Elliot, NERD, and Justin Timberlake.
