Flo-Fest, Bless Fest, One Gathering... That's One Big Family Picnic!
Dan Henderson, the Creative Content Director from Media Messengers rolls into the studio to tell us about the long running Lansing Bless Fest, a grassroots festival that started 20 years ago as a celebration of faith. The festival has grown to incorporate three days and three events as one, Flo-Fest (Friday), Bless Fest (Saturday) and One Gathering (Sunday). All events are FREE to attend and held at Adado Riverfront Park. More details on all three events can be found below.Website: Flo-Fest, Friday, August 25Facebook: Flo-FestYouTube: Kevi - "We Outside"Flo-Fest: The Lansing Flo-Fest is an all rap and hip-hop show that features local and nationally known Christian rap artists. The kids will love to play at our "fun zone" where they will also have bounce houses, games and giveaways. Throughout the day gift cards are given away from the stage through our free raffles. There will also be helpful organizations giving away new and used items, such as clothing, shoes, household items, books, comics and more.Website: One Gathering, Sunday, August 27One Gathering: This event is a partnership between the Lansing Bless Fest and Fire by Night ministries. Fire By Night (FBN) is an extended worship gathering bringing together various churches from the Greater Lansing area in Michigan. FBN was created by Capital City Vineyard Church in about 2005, the vision for this reoccurring event (typically every month with a '5th Sunday') is to unify believers and churches in worship, inviting the Spirit of God to guide us as we enter God's presence together.Website: Media Messengers
