Florence Laroche Moon from Eno - Living as a 'Uni Boober'
Today I am joined by the wonderful Florence Laroche Moon.Florence is the founder of a sustainable brand of grass and swimwear for people with one breast who do not want to wear a prosthesis. She shares her story with me about how she went through the roller coaster of treatment and like me, she lost her breast in her battle against cancer.During lockdown, she chose to live as a "Uni-Boober". At the time she was faced with very little choice of bras and swimwear to her flat sided chest but she didn't want to give up because removing her prosthesis gave her strength and courage to accept her body. Its a fantastic story and she's a fantastic , strong woman. Here are the Highlights(4:26)Body image. (10:34)Breast cancer, reconstruction, and mental health. (21:15)Breast cancer - the options available(26:00)Post-mastectomy clothes design and comfort. (30:49) Empowerment and identity.
