From drinking 30 packs to rockin' a 20 pack with Mickey Jogoleff
DSNSB welcomes Mikey Jogoleff (@mr20pack) to the pod! Mickey is a coach, spartan racer, uncle, he opened and sold a successful gym in San Diego CA. He is now the owner of fit foodies app and is based here in Austin Texas. He’s been on a journey from being overweight to now married, has who knows how many spartan and obstacle type races under his belt, from construction worker to business owner, from overweight to being at his healthiest, and today is your episode on DSNSB.

Mikey and I sit back to chirp about:

Getting in his first fight at five years old Why he got kicked out of high school How he went from drinking up to 30 beers per night to starting his fitness journey Failing a pull up challenge How he met his wife through unconventional means How he scaled and sold his first health club with his wife Why it’s not only okay but strategic to hit on people at HEB How to make sure your actions are in symbiosis with your words How to navigate your nutrition to include your cheat meals
Mikey’s journey was super inspirational to me! The fact that he went from a life of working a construction job and drinking tell he passed out every night to running his own business and finding the love of his life as a result of prioritizing his gym is amazing! I know that there are people in our world right now who are not scratching the surface of their potential because they are stuck in a cycle similar to Mikey’s.
