HMA Pod - Dr. Ashley-Marie Berry
Hello and welcome to the Healthy Minds Alliance Podcast. This week Michael has the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Ashley-Marie Berry. Dr. Berry has joined us this week for a Minority Mental Health Awareness month episode. The Healthy Minds Alliance is an innovative AmeriCorps program that engages universities, school districts, health care systems and other community based organizations across the nation to support widespread implementation of evidence based mental health focused gatekeeper trainings, including Mental Health First Aid, QPR and SafeTALK. This week I have the pleasure of chatting with Dr. Ashley-Marie Berry who is a trained and board-certified pediatrician, as well as board-certified general psychiatrist and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. SHOW NOTES: PIRC ( Psychiatric Intake Response Center). Various cities and states have PIRC or similar resources. This is a link to the Cincinnati based one, but check in your local area to see if you have a similar resource available. PH 513 – 636 – 4124 988 is a new national based Suicide Prevention Hotline, available 24/7 from an US based phone.
