HPV vaccination is Cancer Prevention.HPV , Human Papilloma Virus , is estimated to cause nearly 36,500 cases of Cancer in men and women every year in the United States.HPV vaccination can prevent 33,700 of these cancers by preventing the infections that cause them.Almost 13 million Americans, including teens, become infected with HPV each year. Most of these infections will resolve spontaneously. But some strains will cause Cancer of the male and female genitalia and oropharynx.This vaccination, since its advent ,15 years ago, has decreased the rate of infections amongst teen girls by 88 % !!
