Usually a bout of cold fronts in Johannesburg signals the beginning of the festivities of E3, but as the gaming expo is no longer alive, we’re instead given Not E3 as publishers and studios host presentations about forthcoming gamings. For our episode today we’re talking about Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Starfield, and Warhammer 40 000: Space Marine 2. Ahead of those discussions we have some news to get into, starting with MultiChoice, which reported a harrowing year on the books. The broadcast company announced a R2.9 billion loss in its financial results this week. This was on the back of increased financial pressure, loadshedding and a decline in MultiChoice’s local customer base. Then, Reddit has been the site of a protest this week following a disagreement regarding API fees. Developers of third party Reddit applications have effectively been priced out of developing apps for the website which users have criticised the firm for. Unfortunately Reddit CEO Steve Huffman stoked a fire by calling on staffers to ignore the noise as it would pass and noting the protest has not an effect on the firm’s revenue. Finally, we take a spoiler-free look at The Flash after it’s been stuck in limbo for years. Unfortunately while it may not be a bad superhero film, it’s not the reset many fans were hoping for.
