i burn, i pine, i perish

hellothis week we have a mini episode about a point i saw in a tik tok video earlier this week: being in love vs being in love with the idea of it. i think this is such an interesting subject because i think i’ve fallen victim to gaslighting myself into thinking i was in love with someone unfortunately more than once. it is so important to reflect on your romantic interests to see if these people are truly worth your time and energy. are they actually the one or are they only so great because of the version of them you made in your head because you are in love with the concept of having someone to love instead of actually having feelings for the person? that is something for you to think about on your own. just thought i would share what went through my head based on my past experiences / previous mindset.
