Inclusive Educational Adjustments to Support Students with Down Syndrome
Whilst every student with Down syndrome is an individual with their own strengths and weaknesses, there are often common physical attributes that need to be taken into consideration when planning for educational adjustments. As part of the educational team, we consult with many schools across the state and walk alongside educators to ensure they understand the diagnosis as best they can, as well as know their student to cater for their individual support needs. This podcast takes listeners through the top five considerations we face in our consultations and gives advice on ways to best support students in the most inclusive pedagogical methods. This podcast is a production of Down Syndrome Queensland. If you have a question, would like more information on any of our episodes, or have suggestions for future topics, send us an email - engagement@downsyndrome.qld.org.au.For more information please visit the DSQ website, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
