International Architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser's Colourful Legacy Found In NZ -Justine Costigan

One of North;and New Zealand\s most popular attractions is a building that from a distance looks like a toddler’s birthday cake: bright, clashing colours crowned by a golden cupola that sparkles in the sun. On closer inspection it is the work of the late Friedensreich Hundertwasser the Austrian artist and “organic” architect. His distinctive buildings can be found in many countries across Europe, in California’s Napa Valley, in Israel, in Japan. Reporter Justine Costigan who first saw the architect's work in Vienna some years ago discovered his legacy also existed in Northland New Zealand during a recent visit as she explains..
