After he had written the letter of I Peter, the apostle was led of the Holy Spirit to remind the church of the need to “grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord” (2 Peter 3.18). As the church faced increasing persecution, they would need to rely on the Holy Spirit for greater understanding of the person and work of Jesus...we do, too.
