Is there more to the Kevin Brown suspension than meets the eye?

Overnight a massive story involving the Orioles and broadcaster Kevin Brown exploded, as it was reported the team suspended Brown for critical statements he made about the team on July 23rd.  The support for Brown all over the sports world then poured in, as did the criticism of the team's front office.  At the same time, Brown, and other MASN broadcasters, have made the same comments about the team and not faced backlash.  Is there more to the story than meets the eye?
