I’m so honored to be joined by one of my midwives today, Johanna Storey. I was lucky enough to have her present during the birth of Hunter, and she was a major component that I attribute my successful home birth to. Johanna has such a magical, and healing spirit, and gives a lot of credit to her ancestors for that. We go all over the place in this episode, discussing Johanna’s passion for birth work, placenta health, and the benefits of consuming placenta postpartum, Johanna’s battle with a rare form of Cancer as a child, and how she was able to harness a beautiful perspective on life from that experience. And then, Johanna gets really vulnerable, and opens up about her 5 failed pregnancies, and how she’s been able to learn from each of them, and is now blessed with a beautiful daughter named Samaya Adream.
