Kari Lake suffered another humiliating defeat in court at the end of the week, when the judge overseeing her latest election lawsuit threw out her first three witnesses after deeming them "unqualified.' But Lake isn't even planning on winning this suit, she's just doing it to stay in the limelight while she prepares to announce her Senate run, which reports tell us could be happening very soon.<br/><br/>And on May 12th, 2022, Republican Representative Jim Jordan was issued a subpoena by the House Select Committee that was investigating the events of January 6th. Today is the 500th day since that subpoena was issued, and Jordan never complied, and the Committee never even held him accountable. This fact was brought up during a recent House hearing this past week after Republicans suggested that Attorney General Merrick Garland should be held in Contempt of Congress. <br/><br/>And finally, a Republican state senator in Florida (of course) was banned from coming by a women's shelter for domestic abuse victims after the CEO of the group accused the senator of behavior that she claimed was both overly "flirty" and possibly even "grooming" behavior. The Senator, Tom Wright, claims that there was trafficking and drug use taking place at the shelter, but police still issued a trespass notice to him earlier this month so that he could no longer visit the property.
