Karin, An RVA Goth | O Lala! (In the Dungeon) #12

Today’s guest is a member of RVA’s goth scene. She was a late bloomer, being introduced to the subculture when she was 28 by her ex-husband on Goth Night at Godfrey’s in 2001. She was hooked from that day on. Since then, she has met so many amazing and interesting people and attended numerous goth events in the area.She also suffered many years in an abusive relationship and after emerging from that experience she was fully embraced by RVA’s goth community. The support she received is part of why she has been able to move forward and reestablish her life.Today we will learn about the goth community in RVA and what it all means, with of course a few laughs along the way.
