Today, Jim and  Larry  interview Keith McCalmont, NYRA’s Director, Communications, who discusses todays stakes-filled card at Aqueduct Racecourse, especially the Remsen Stakes which is an early Kentucky Derby qualifier. Keith also talks about the recent construction at Belmont that has forced a move of their races to Aqueduct and also mentions about his time at Woodbine.; David Anderson, horse breeder, owner and Steward for the Jockey Club of Canada, who talks about  his recent purchase of the filly, Whimsical Dance, one of the last horses raced by Sam Son Farms to go through auction and the reasons behind purchasing her. David also discusses his involvement with Percherons and Clydesdales and why it is  important to the entire horse racing industry to have amendments made to Section 31 of the Income Tax Act.; Woodbine Thoroughbred Trainer Don MacRae, who reflects back on how he started in horse racing on the Standardbred side working for his father who was a trainer and the path he took to end up at Woodbine training Thoroughbreds now. Don  also talks about some of the better horses that he has had the opportunity to train and why it is important to establish a mentor system in order to create opportunities for younger people to become trainers or take on other roles in horse racing. He also reflects on the days of Greenwood.  Larry also provides his ‘Ponies Picks of the Day’ selections for several North American racetracks today and in the show intro he talks about two upcoming events at Woodbine Mohawk Park, tonight’s Bulldog Hanover Retirement Ceremony, and Guest Appreciation Day on December 17th.
