SOUNDBITE (English) James Attwood, acting magazine editor, Autocar: “I think the luxury market is a standalone section but it is proving phenomenally popular. There are companies like Rolls Royce and Bentley that are setting sales records and they really genuinely can’t build cars fast enough at this point. I think there’s still this real appeal for these luxury things, but I think what has changed is some of people’s perception of what luxury is. So a lot of them are getting that bit more simple, there’s a real push to personalisation, so there’s a lot more small volume, special runs of cars.” ASSOCIATED PRESS Munich, Germany – 3 September 2023 18.
