Lawrence v. Texas 539 US 558 2003

The Houston police enter the private residence of Lawrence when responding to a report of a weapon disturbance. They walk in on Lawrence and another man Gardner engaging in Consensual Sexual Activity. These men were arrested and convicted of “deviate sexual intercourse" in violation of a Texas Statute that forbids same-sex sexual interaction.
