On May 24, 1989, 19-year-old Lori Auker left for work at her job at a local pet store inside a shopping mall. As she was walking through the parking lot, an ATM surveillance camera captured her leaning into a vehicle to talk with an unidentified person. Shortly after, Lori the ATM video camera captured the unidentified vehicle tearing away and Lori was never seen or heard from again. Lori's estranged husband, Robert, became the primary suspect in her disappearance, and as the investigation progressed, things began stacking up against him. Investigators uncovered a hefty life insurance policy he had taken out on Lori six months into their separation, but it didn't stop there.
