Making Sensory Friendly Advancements in Minnesota
We started the show off remembering former Minnesota governor Al Quie as news broke Saturday that he had passed away so we called up Amy Koch of Hylden Advocacy Law and formerly of the Minnesota Senate as we remember Al’s life and legacy. Then we reflect on the news that the Minnesota State Fair will be providing a one day only sensory-friendly day at the Minnesota State Fair on August 28th for those who struggle with autism and we talk about the many advancements Minnesota venues and events have made to accommodate those who need it most. Also, we recognize another great Black business as we continue to celebrate Black Business Month talking to Dana Smith of MinnyRow Market discussing the inspiring story of persevering through the system as a Black owned store in Minnesota; hear the moving story of MinnyRow Market.
