On the back of the first Meg that dropped in 2018, I was absolutely down for a sequel. As we know, I’m a big fan of the creature feature genre, and 'The Meg' was a silly, but fun trip to the cinema. However, The Meg 2… not so much. The adage 'be careful what you wish for' (I could have punned that to 'be careful what you fish for', but I held off) comes to mind, as my god this film was a bad. No fun, no bite, just absolutely stupid, and a real snooze fest at times. Whats more shocking to me is that Ben Wheatley’s name is attached to this as director. Such a talent and yet this film falls so short. Full thoughts in this episode
