Misunderstanding Our Standing
Today we welcome Sean and Kim Doyle of TEAM Global missions, currently serving in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Pastor Doyle will be sharing today from the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel.--In 1 Samuel 5, we are reminded of the story of the Ark of the Covenant while it was in the possession of the Philistines, Israel's infamous enemy. -As was common in war at the time, the victor would seize the possessions of their enemy and display the treasures of their victory for all to see. So it was with the captured ark of God, taken to Ashdod and brought to the house of Dagon, the pagan god of the Philistines. Soon after, -the hand of the Lord was heavy against the people- and many inflictions would befall the people because of the Ark. -What could this story mean for us today-- Pastor Doyle will share 5 truths the Israelites and Philistines would come to learn because of this event, that still holds true for us today. Please listen.
